LAKE
HOUSE INN
Nestled on the shoreline
of the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon, The Lake House Inn stands where
nature's beauty and historical Bucks County meet in harmony. The inn, with its sumptuous gardens, outdoor terraces, and
breathtaking vistas makes for the perfect peaceful retreat.
Complementing its 200+
year history, the feel of the 16 guest suites and
public areas is decidedly contemporary. This enchanting combination
of the
traditional and the modern makes The Lake House Inn the ideal destination
for your dream wedding or other elegant affair. Mid-week corporate
events
are welcomed.
Originally built in the
late 1700s, the building began its existence as an
Inn and stagecoach shop. Over the last 200 years, it has served
as a
blacksmith shop, a U.S. post Office, a general store, and, most
recently, a
restaurant. A complete 15,000 sq ft renovation and addition in 2005
has brought this
grand structure full circle.
Catering to the New York
and Philadelphia market, The Lake House Inn is located 20 minutes
from Doylestown and 35 minutes from New Hope. Opening is
anticipated for August 2006.
